Volaire Boutique

So we have officially been the worst bloggers ever! We have been so incredibly busy the past few months growing Volaire that we have barely had 2 free seconds to sit down and keep everyone updated! So besides being super busy with new clients, appointments and teaching yoga classes, we have decided to add something new to Volaire! So here we are to announce our newest adventure...

We have been working hard on bringing more to our dream of Volaire to make it everything we want it to be! We are so excited to announce that we have added a "boutique" to our Yoga Spa!
We are starting with selling a few pieces. We have leggings, tops and scarves. We are hoping to expand slowly and make it much larger as we grow! We eventually will introduce our very OWN line of Yoga Clothing as soon as we have finished working on that (still in the works)!

So for now... here is a peak into some of what we are currently carrying at Volaire Boutique.

Thanks to our lovely models for helping show off our clothes!!!

Our boutique is featured on our website:

Gluten Free Pumpkin Chocolate Chip Cookies

Well the season is upon us. Time for EVERYTHING pumpkin! This is probably one of my favorite parts of the Fall Season! I have an amazing recipe for Pumpkin Chocolate Chip Cookies that are Gluten Free!! Super easy. I got this easy recipe from my sister-in-law last year and couldn't wait to make them again once Fall started settling in :)

What you need:

  • Betty Crocker yellow cake mix (Gluten Free) - You can purchase at just about any grocery store
  • 1 can of pumpkin puree (the can pictured below is Gluten Free)
  • Dark Chocolate chips
  • Cinnamon
  • Nutmeg
  • Vanilla

Instructions:

  1. Empty the entire box of cake mix into a mixing bowl
  2. Add the can of pumpkin puree
  3. Mix together
  4. Add in  2 tsp of vanilla
  5. Add cinnamon and nutmeg to taste (I don't have an exact amount for these I just sprinkle it in until I think the cookie batter tastes good) --- [You know you all taste the cookie batter and not to worry-it's egg free so it's ok to eat it :)]
  6. Add in as much chocolate chips as you like. I probably put about 3/4 cup
  7. Mix everything together
  8. Set your oven for 350 degrees
  9. Put spoon fulls of the dough onto a cookie sheet
  10. Bake for 12 minutes

And there you have it! It's that easy and sooo yummy.

Seattle

We had the wonderful opportunity of attending an awesome convention in Seattle a few weeks ago! Let me tell you, we have never been to Seattle before, but it is seriously one of my favorite places I have ever been. I never thought I would enjoy living a "city life", but after visiting Seattle, I could totally see myself living there. The only down side is that it rains so much :(
Waiting at the Airpot
We got there fairly early on Thursday and went out to lunch at a yummy Thai restaurant. This was our first Thai and it was DELICIOUS! Afterwards we went to our hotel and hung out for a bit. Caden's uncle lives in Seattle and came a picked us up that evening to go show us the city and take us to eat dinner. We got to see the city and actually learned a lot about the history of it from them as well. It was so much fun. They took us to a place called Ivar's which has the BEST seafood ever! Let me tell you that Seattle seriously has the best food.

Here are some pictures from that night..

The next morning we woke up fairly early to take the train to the city. Our hotel was about 45 minutes away from downtown Seattle, so we had to take the train everywhere. It was actually really cool and I am glad we got to see the town that way!

We walked all around downtown Seattle on Friday and went to Pike Place Market which is this huge farmer's market!!! Later that evening we went to dinner at another delicious restaurant and then went to our convention.

Fist EVER Starbucks... What?!?

Saturday we spent all day at the convention. Our convention was a Bootcamp for our body wrap and supplement line, ItWorks! This conference was so amazing. We met some awesome people who are seriously living their dreams because of this company! It is so incredible the results people see from these products as well as the lives they are able to live due to the financial freedom they receive from working this business!

After the conference on Saturday we went to a Red Robin that is right on water front. It was seriously the most amazingly beautiful view! After we ate we went on this Ferris Wheel that is also right on the water front that looks over the entire city. It was so cute! :)

The pretty view from Red Robin on the water front.

View from the Ferris Wheel

We went back to the hotel after this and left early Sunday morning to come home!

The trip was short, but so much fun! I love going to new cities and seeing new places with my cute hubby! We had a blast.

On the airplane going home :(
If you want to learn more about the opportunity with ItWorks! and how you can be financially free or just make a little extra income. Please message us for more details. Even if you want to try the products or learn more about them I would love to share some info! I promise you this company and their products are amazing!

Zucchini Noodles w/ Avocado Cream Sauce

As part of our new Wellness Program, we promised we would start posting some easy, healthy meals that we like to make. This specific recipe is so amazing because it is paleo approved (if that is the type of diet you follow), gluten free, dairy free and vegan. Now, I am a sucker for pasta, however, being mostly gluten free, pasta is almost never eaten. We have been wanting to make Zucchini noodles for so long that we finally decided to purchase a spiralizer.

This is the one we bought, we got it off of Amazon. There are so many out there that I don't think you can really go wrong, but this one was really easy to use. Here is the link from Amazon if you are interested in purchasing one.

The recipe I'm about to give fed 2 of us with plenty leftovers (just to give you an idea of the quantity)

Ingredients:
5 large zucchinis
1 tbsp coconut oil

For the sauce:
2 small avocados
Basil**
Lemon**
2 tbsp Extra Virgin Olive Oil
3 cloves crushed Garlic (we just used about 1tbsp of garlic powder)
1 tsp Sea Salt
1/2 tsp ground pepper

(**For the lemon and basil we used essential oils, however, if you do not have those use 15 basil leaves and half of a squeezed lemon.)

STEPS

1. Sprialize your zucchini (you will need to follow the instructors on the spiralizer you have on how to get the noodles)

2. Place your noodles in a water strainer and leave in the sink for a few minutes to allow all water to drain out. You may toss your noodles with some sea salt at this time to add a little flavor.

3. Place all of your sauce ingredients into a food processor and process them until they are well blended.

4, Add your coconut oil to a frying pan and add your noodles.

5. Allow the noodles to heat for 2 minutes

6. Add your sauce to the noodles and allow to cook on medium for another 2-3 minutes.

That is it. Super quick and easy and very healthy for you!

We did add a little chicken to the side of ours, but this alone makes an excellent meal!

I hope you all enjoy :)

Back to Blogging :)

Hello everyone!! Sorry for the lack of posts the past couple weeks, we have been a little busy with end of summer activities! A couple weeks ago we snuck away to Arizona for a few days and surprised my mom! It was a lot of fun, but of course not long enough!

Here are a few pictures from our trip.

Pictures we got of the boys from Caden's parents while we were gone!!! We missed them so much :(

The weekend after we got back it was my cousin Samantha's wedding! So the week prior we were busy doing lots of eyelashes for bridesmaids and the bride, attending rehearsals and of course their beautiful wedding! It was so much fun! Anytime we get our family together we always have such a blast! Here are some fun pictures from the wedding...

Aren't they the cutest couple? Just love them :)

The week after the wedding my cousin and BFF, Sabrina, stayed in town for a few days so we hung out with her basically everyday so we could spend some time with her!

And this past weekend our awesome friends Colby and Amanda moved back down from Idaho and moved in with us!! Best roomies ever :) YAY!

So now things are pretty much settled so it's time to get back into the swing of things :) I am so bummed summer is almost over... but I do love fall and I am excited for all that is coming to Volaire. We have been working on some great things that we will be announcing very soon!!!
