Eyelash Extensions!

One of my most favorite things to do (and to have) are eyelash extensions!! I have had them for about a year now and they are something I don't think I can ever do without. They are so perfect for ANYONE! They can be as dramatic or as natural as you would like! That is what I love the most about them.

They work by placing individual synthetic or mink extensions to each of your own individual eyelashes. The process takes about 1.5 - 2 hours for a full set. You then have to keep them up with a fill by replacing those that have fallen out and adding to the new lashes that have grown in. A fill is about every 2-4 weeks, depending on the person.

Eyelash extensions can be done on people for every day use, or for occasions.

They are easy to care for as long as you follow these simple guidelines:

• Don't get them wet for 24-48 hrs after application. 
• Resist the urge to rub or tug on them- this can cause your natural lashes to prematurely fall out. 
• Don't let moisture rich products to get onto your lashes- any heavy creams or oil based products can break down the glue causing them to fall out. 
• Avoid mascaras- unless specified safe for extensions, this can lessen the life of your extensions

In my opinion- this is one thing (besides my hair) I have no problem keeping up on. Some people worry that they don't want to have the maintenance of fills every few weeks. My thought-- it's MUCH better than doing mascara everyday, and you basically wake up in the morning with your makeup half way done :)
