I wanted to post about my skin care regimen because I have many clients constantly asking me what is the best way to cleanse their face and what/when they should be using specific products. I created this basic guideline for anyone to follow. I will tell you exactly what I use, however you can completely customize this to match your skin type and conditions :)
Now... before I tell you my personal skin care regimen, keep in mind I am a skin care junky. So I am always adding different products to my routine, so it'll probably seem like a lot of products.
- CLEANSE - Image Ageless Total Facial Cleanser (This cleanser has Glycolic Acid in it which is great for anti-aging as well as combination and hyperpigmented skin- This cleanser is also 3 in one- cleanser, toner and exfoliator)
- TONE - Included in my cleanser
- SERUM - Image Vital C Hydrating A, C, E (Great for adding hydration and nutrients to the skin)
- ADD ON - Phytoceane Eye Contour Treatment (Just for those mornings that I seem to have puffiness or dark circles) -Not pictured below
- MOISTURIZER/ PREVENTION - Image Prevention + Matte Moisturizer (I use the matte because of my oily skin)
Evening
- ADD ON - Home Made Oil Cleanser (I use the oil cleansing method at night to help get all the dirt and grime off from the day. If you have not heard of oil cleansing, it's such a great way to eliminate all that make-up and oil on your face from the day.. just as it works with anything else, "oil attracts oil".- I still do a 2nd cleanse though)
- CLEANSE - Phytoceane Radiance Cleansing Milk (Great for brightening the skin)
- TONE - Phytoceane Invigoration Cleansing Lotion - (This is so awesome because it is alcohol free and safe on eyelash extensions :)- Toner is great to balance the pH of the skin as well as help any other products following it to penetrate deeper)
- SERUM - Image Total Anti-Aging Serum (This has an AHA exfoliator as well as Apple Stem Cell Technology)
- ADD ON- Image Medicated Acne Lotion (Just on spots or breakouts if I have them)
- REPAIR - Image Total Repair Cream (This product has Glycolic Acid and Retinol in it- great for anti-aging and even acne)
About once a week I will use one of these exfoliants. I alternate between the 2 just depending on my mood.
OR
Sakura Silk Mild Exfoliating Gel (I picked this bad boy up at a Skin Show in Long Beach in January and it is so amazing. This stuff literally clears out my pores {I have large pores} and makes my skin SO smooth!!! You put the serum on the skin. Let it sit for about 10 seconds. Then rub your skin. All the dirt and dead skin literally balls up and flakes off your face- IT'S AWESOME!!!)

I know this all seems like a lot of products, so if I am going to recommend a few that are a must, it would be a good cleanser, toner and moisturizer.
As far as adding a serum, anti-aging products are always great to use. I am only in my 20's and have started using them. It is NEVER too early to start. The best medicine is PREVENTATIVE. Why not start combating those fine lines and wrinkles now?!?
So... please customize your skin care the way you would like.. but be cautious on products you use, remember... your skin is the first thing people see, if you want to see results, you have to be willing to spend a little on your skin :)
If you want to e-mail me I would be more than happy to help you figure out a great skin care routine that matches your skin type and conditions and give recommendations on products.
